Heavy rain warning in Bengal-Odisha,winds will blow at a speed of 90 KMPH

The Meteorological Department has issued heavy rain warning for four districts of Bengal and Odisha. first cyclonic storm of the year 2022, can hit the coastal areas of India on 10 May. Asani is likely to make landfall between Visakhapatnam and Bhubaneshwar between May 10 and 11.

The department said that the wind speed can remain up to 90 KMPH at the time of cyclone. Cyclone Asani to bring heavy rain, thunderstorm to Kolkata between May 10 & 13. A low-pressure area over the South Andaman Sea is expected to intensify into a cyclone by Sunday.

Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) Director General Mrityunjay Mohapatra said that Cyclone Asani will move from Andaman Sea to Bay of Bengal on Saturday evening. After this, rain will occur in many districts of Bengal, Odisha and Jharkhand. cyclone could hit the coasts of Odisha or Andhra. During this, the wind speed can range from 75 to 90 KMPH.

cyclonic storm Asani can be seen in many states of West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, North-East apart from Odisha. IMD has issued a yellow alert for Odisha.
